Riverside hosted Twin Valley South in non-league play and came away with a 3-1 win.
Freshman pitcher Brody Orsborne dominated on the mound, striking out 13 and allowing just three hits and one earned run in a complete game.
Gavin Orsborne and Aiden Manning each had two hits, while Hayden Sanford added a single and scored a run.
The Pirates improved to 5-9 on the season.
Over in Bellefontaine, the Chiefs fell to Jonathan Alder 14-3.
Beckham Harman pitched in relief for the Chiefs and also went 2-for-2 at the plate.
Banta drove in two runs.
Bellefontaine turned a double play and looks to bounce back Wednesday at Alder.
Benjamin Logan kept things close with Shawnee but came up short, 4-3.
The game was tied going into the seventh when an error allowed Shawnee to take the lead.
Jacob Hawley went the distance for the Raiders, and Soli Hughes had three hits from the leadoff spot.
Camden Spriggs added a triple and an RBI.
The Indian Lake Lakers defeated Northwestern 6-1, thanks to a six-run fifth inning.
Madden Lillard allowed just one hit over six innings and struck out nine.
