Calvary Christian golfers battle tough conditions

The Calvary Christian golf team had a solid day Monday at the W-G Invitational, recording its second-best score of the season with a 387.

Brant Zell led the way with a 91, followed by Jace Harpst with a 92, Landon Jackson with a 97, and Jett Harpst with a 107.

Dean Ropp shot a 123, and Grayson Barnes finished with a 114.

The top four scores made up the team total.

Coaches said they were proud of the team for pushing through tough conditions and still putting together a strong performance.

At the Allen East Girls Invitational, Marley Young finished with a two-round total of 133, shooting 61 and 72.

She battled challenging conditions and some struggles on the greens but stayed competitive throughout the day.
