Calvary Christian School’s varsity boys’ soccer team put on a commanding performance at home, defeating Fairlawn 8–0. The win highlighted strong contributions from both seniors and underclassmen as the Spartans controlled the match from start to finish.
Senior Trent Comer led the charge with 2 goals and an assist, while fellow senior Nehemiah Dillon tallied 1 goal and 2 assists. Seniors Tanner Hurley and Evan Schmidt each added a goal, along with junior Brett Gildow. Schmidt also recorded an assist. Senior Cohen McDonald provided a key assist in the offensive effort.
The underclassmen also made their presence felt. Sophomore Elijah Navarro found the back of the net for a goal, while sophomore Sam Mihoci also added a score. Sophomore Cale Buchenroth chipped in with an assist, and Kole Gantz sparked the attack with 2 assists.
The Spartans are back in action against Spencerville High School on October 2nd.
