The Calvary Christian Spartans JV soccer team concluded their season on a high note with a 4-1 victory against the Ada Bulldogs on Monday night.
Kole Gantz opened the scoring early in the match with a stunning 20-yard shot from the right side. As the first half drew to a close, Ransom Lambert found the back of the net with just 47 seconds remaining, delivering a powerful shot from outside the 18-yard box, bringing the score to 2-0.
In the second half, Lambert continued his impressive performance by adding another goal, assisted by Aiden Keller, extending the Spartans’ lead to 3-0. The Bulldogs managed to respond with a goal from Will Mosler, who delivered a well-placed crossing shot for their only score of the night.
With two minutes left in the game, Kacey Andre sealed the victory for Calvary, scoring on an assist from Xavier Church, making the final score 4-1.
Brody Prall was instrumental in the win, recording five saves, while the defensive unit, including Ian Willis, Lydia Davie, Alton Tighe, and Gavin Householder, provided solid support throughout the match. Midfielders Mak Kariuki and Cohen McDonald anchored the team’s midfield play.
This victory capped off a successful season for the Spartans, who finished with an impressive record of 7-2-2.
