The Calvary Christian Spartans earned a strong 5-2 win over the New Knoxville Rangers on Friday, August 29.
Senior Trent Comer opened the scoring in the first half to give the Spartans an early 1-0 lead.
New Knoxville responded quickly with two goals of their own, but senior Cohen McDonald tied the match before halftime, sending both teams into the break knotted at 2-2.
The Spartans controlled the second half.
Sophomore Aiden Keller broke the tie with a goal, followed by another from sophomore Elijah Navaro.
Comer sealed the win with his second goal of the night, securing the 5-2 victory.
Calvary Christian now looks ahead to their next matchup at home against Botkins on Tuesday.
