Cardinals, Raiders, Pirates & Lakers Hit the Court Monday

Triad played at Shawnee Monday evening during a varsity-only contest and won 46-31.

For Triad, Abbey Overfield had a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds.

Emma Ferguson added 10 points and 9 rebounds.

Overfield and Ferguson each also had 4 assists.

Ashlyn McCoy had 8 points.

Triad is now (1-1) on the season (0-0) in the OHC.

Triad travels to Mechanicsburg on Wednesday.

JV will tip at 6:00 pm.

The Benjamin Logan Raiders traveled to Upper Scioto Valley Monday night and came out on top 43 – 33.

Kara Reeves led scoring for the Raiders with 12 points, Rylan Norviel had 10 points, Georgia Bates and Mya Burrey both added 6 points each, and Lahna Cook had 5 points.

The Raiders move to 2-0 and will host Ridgemont Wednesday night starting at 6:00 pm as Ridgemont doesn’t have a JV team.

The Riverside Lady Pirates took on Newton on Monday.

JV beat Newton 23-7 in 2 quarters.

Kenna Johnson led the scoring for the Pirates with 11 points.

Maddy Lemley and Emilee Robinson both chipped in 6.

The Varsity lost 38-48 to Newton.

After the first quarter, the Indians were up 11-7.

At halftime, the Pirates came back and were up 23-20.

In the third quarter, Newton regained the lead 38-28 and the final score was 38-48 Newton.

Avery Perk led the pirates with 19 points and Emma Saylor added 12.

The Lady Lakers lost in their season opener to Greenville 33 to 30.

Haylee Edwards had 11 points and Savannah Hill added 6 points.

The Lakers JV lost 33 to 26.

Hayden West and Kail Shoffstall each had 8 points.

Indian Lake will host Bellefontaine on Wednesday.
