Both teams were strong on the hill on Wednesday, but Cedarville was just a little bit stronger at the plate in their 3-2 victory over the West Liberty-Salem Tigers.
A sacrifice bunt by Timmy Howells put West Liberty-Salem on the board first in the top of the second.
A Micah Burr ground out in the bottom of the second scored a run for the Indians, tieing the game at 1-all.
An error gave the Tigers the lead again, 2-1, in the top of the third.
In the bottom of the fourth inning, Cedarville went back into the lead after Burr singled to right field, and Tavin Baldwin hit a sacrifice fly, each scoring one run.
Baldwin earned the win for Cedarville, giving up just one hit and no runs over four innings, striking out one and walking another.
Isaiah Reames took the loss for the Tigers.
He went four innings, allowing three runs (one earned) on two hits, striking out five and walking three.
West Liberty-Salem welcomes the Waynesville Spartans on Thursday in Tournament action.
