Chiefs and Tigers Win Monday


Bellefontaine Chiefs snatched the lead late in their 3-2 victory over Urbana on Monday.

The game was tied at two in the bottom of the sixth when Charlie Bible singled, scoring one run.

The pitching was strong on both sides.

The Chiefs got on the board in the first inning after Brody Boy singled, scoring one run.

Bellefontaine Chiefs took the lead in the bottom of the third.

Carter Caudill singled, scoring one run, to give Bellefontaine Chiefs the edge, 2-1.

Chris Fogan pitched three and two-thirds innings in relief for the Chiefs.

The right-handed pitcher surrendered four hits and one run while, striking out four and walking one.

Alex Crabill started the game for the Bellefontaine Chiefs.

He surrendered two hits and one run (zero earned) over three and one-third innings, striking out one and walking five.

The JV team also won tonight with a score of 18-2 over Urbana.

They will be back in action on Wednesday at Urbana, starting at 5:15 PM.


The West Liberty Salem Tiger Baseball team defeated Mechanicsburg 3-1 in OHC play on Monday night.

Eli Allen toed the bump for the Tigers tonight throwing 7 strong innings. Allen gave up 1 run on 4 hits and 2 walks with 12 strikeouts.

They will travel to Mechanicsburg on Tuesday to take on Mechanicsburg and OHC play again.
