The Bellefontaine varsity girls fell at home to St. Marys 43-38.
The Lady Chiefs would take a one-point, 8-7, lead at the end of the first quarter. Bellefontaine would build that lead up to five in the second quarter, but St. Marys would battle back and take a 20-19 lead into the halftime break.
The third quarter saw each team go on a 7-0 run to keep it a one-point game heading into the 4th quarter.
The Roughriders would capitalize on 9 Bellefontaine turnovers in the 4th quarter to secure the five-point victory.
Tiffany Boop led the Lady Chiefs with 15 points, Quinlan Zedeker poured in 10 points, and Lexi Robinson tallied 8 points.
Bellefontaine falls to 5-5 on the season.
The Lady Chiefs travel to Lima Shawnee Thursday.
St. Marys ran away with the JV game 57-16.

The West Liberty-Salem 7th grade boys defeated Greeneview 55-36.
Beckett Sullivan led the Tigers with 13 points, Asher Cole finished with 10 points, Zeke Longshore and Liam Barger each chipped in with 9 points, Brayan Gullett added 5 points, Austin Markin scored 4 points, Zade Beileski had 3 points, and David Roberts tallied 2 points.
The 7th-grade Tiger boys improve to 5-0.
