Chiefs fall at home – Tuesday basketball results

The Bellefontaine varsity girls fell at home to St. Marys 43-38.

The Lady Chiefs would take a one-point, 8-7, lead at the end of the first quarter. Bellefontaine would build that lead up to five in the second quarter, but St. Marys would battle back and take a 20-19 lead into the halftime break.

The third quarter saw each team go on a 7-0 run to keep it a one-point game heading into the 4th quarter.

The Roughriders would capitalize on 9 Bellefontaine turnovers in the 4th quarter to secure the five-point victory.

Tiffany Boop led the Lady Chiefs with 15 points, Quinlan Zedeker poured in 10 points, and Lexi Robinson tallied 8 points.

Bellefontaine falls to 5-5 on the season.

The Lady Chiefs travel to Lima Shawnee Thursday.

St. Marys ran away with the JV game 57-16.

The Benjamin Logan varsity girls fell to West Jefferson 45-30.

Mia Stahler led the Lady Raiders with 11 points and Kyndal Cronkleton added 9 points.

Benjamin Logan falls to 5-7.

The JV Raiders lost to West Jeff 32-21.

Adilynne Gregg had 8 points and Mya Burrey added 4 points.

Boys hoops:

Calvary Christian lost to New Hope 72-53.

Patrick James led the Spartans with 16 points.

Calvary falls to 3-4, 3-1 in the OVCC.

Riverside fell to Miami East 46-37.

Leading the Pirates was Ayden Clary with 21 points.

Miami East took the JV game 54-18.

In the freshman game, Riverside fell 46-37.

Hayden Sanford led with 15 points.

Urbana defeated Southeastern 63-52.

Will Donahoe paced Urbana with 20 points.

The Hillclimbers improve to 5-1.

Middle School:

The Riverside 7th-grade boys defeated Indian Lake 38-31.

Brody Osborne led the Pirates with 26 points.

The Lakers took the 8th-grade game 47-26.

For the Pirates, Colton Hurley led with 15 points.

The West Liberty-Salem 7th grade boys defeated Greeneview 55-36.

Beckett Sullivan led the Tigers with 13 points, Asher Cole finished with 10 points, Zeke Longshore and Liam Barger each chipped in with 9 points, Brayan Gullett added 5 points, Austin Markin scored 4 points, Zade Beileski had 3 points, and David Roberts tallied 2 points.

The 7th-grade Tiger boys improve to 5-0.
