Chiefs set new season low, beat Raiders to highlight Tuesday boys’ golf results

Local high school boys’ golf teams were back on the course Tuesday, with Bellefontaine facing Benjamin Logan and Mechanicsburg competing in a three-team match at Locust Hills Golf Club.

Bellefontaine 161, Benjamin Logan 192

Bellefontaine posted its best team score of the season, defeating Benjamin Logan 161-192.

The Chieftains were led by Ean Fultz and Hudson Banta, who both shot 39 to share medalist honors. Tyler Rossey added a 41, while Noah Smith and Keaton Dinovo each carded a 42. Colson Garver rounded out the scoring with a 48.

Bellefontaine will return to action this week against London and Kenton Ridge.

Cedarville 164, Mechanicsburg 166, Greenon 173

Mechanicsburg finished second in Tuesday’s three-team match at Locust Hills Golf Club, shooting a 166 behind Cedarville’s 164 and ahead of Greenon’s 173.

Max Popovich led the Indians with a 39, followed by Mason Bandy and MJ Blose with 42s. Elliott Moore added a 43, while Ryder Buxton shot 47 and Bodee Delong finished with a 49.

Mechanicsburg is now 11-1 in Ohio Heritage Conference play and will return to action Wednesday at Urbana Country Club against Fairbanks and Southeastern.
