Chiefs split with Jonathan Alder in tennis

The Bellefontaine boys’ tennis team split with Jonathan Alder Thursday.

The varsity Chieftains won 3-2.

1st Singles – Truman Howell (B) def. Isaac Banks 6-3, 6-4.

2nd Singles – Xavier Sims (B) def. Gideon Sullivan 6-3, 6-3.

3rd Singles – Owen Hecht (JA) def. Garrett Brede 6-0, 6-1.

1st Doubles – Drew Phillips/Trey Taylor (B) def. Cade Baker/Josh Weakley 4-6, 6-4, 6-1.

2nd Doubles – Drew Corbitt/Parker Taylor (JA) def Elias Abrego/Bryce Harris 2-6, 6-4, 10-6 (TB).

Bellefontaine moves to 3-0 in the CBC and 3-0 overall. The Chiefs look to stay hot as they travel to Springfield to take on the Wildcats of Springfield High on Wednesday, April 5th at 4:30.

The Chieftain JV team lost 4-1.

Phil Scott (JA) defeated Max Fissel (Bellef) 0-6, 0-6.

Seth Dickman (JA) defeated Quin Slagle (B) 0-6, 4-6.

Wyatt Latimer (B) defeated James Ratliff (JA) 2-6, 6-0, 7-6.

1st Doubles – Casey Sajdyk/Noah Kuck (JA) defeated Jeff Smith/Lane Howard (B) 2-6, 4-6.

2nd Doubles – Anderson Wilson/ Max Metz (JA) defeated Anthony Sylvia/ Lorenz Henry 1-6, 1-6.
