Chiefs win in OT; Lakers top Raiders; basketball finals from Friday

The Bellefontaine varsity boys basketball team rallied past visiting Jonathan Alder 53-46 in overtime Friday night.

Sophomore Tavien St. Clair hit a three-pointer with :07 remaining to tie the game at 43-43.

Bellefontaine never looked back in overtime, outscoring the visitors 10-3.

Senior Carter Snapp led the Chiefs’ balanced attack with 18 points.  St. Clair dropped in 13 points. Classmate Jacob Salyer added 11 points.

Jonathan Alder standout Peyton Heiss poured in a game-high 25 points.

The Chiefs improve to 2-3 overall and 1-2 in the CBC.  The Pioneers are 3-2, 2-1.

The JV Chiefs fell to Alder 53-32..

The freshman Chiefs lost to the Pioneers 41-19.

Indian Lake ran over Benjamin Logan 68-45.

Maddux Hall had a big night for the Lakers with 26 points including six 3-pointers.

EJ Martin scored 15 for the Raiders.

West Liberty-Salem beat Northeastern 45-38.

Taran Logwood scored 23 for the Tigers while Matthew Jones added 13.

The Tigers are (4-2) (4-1) on the season.

Northeastern won the JV game 47-31.

Caleb Hershberger had 9 points and Sam Strapp 6 for WL-S.

Riverside fell to Lehman 52-41.

Myles Platfoot had 12 points for the Pirates.

Lehman won the JV game 44-35.

Dylan Cooper and Dylan Burchett each had 8 points for RHS.

Riverside won the JV game 47-37.

Camden Shoe had 21 points and 10 rebounds for the Pirates.

Graham spanked Northwestern 64-43.

Urbana remains unbeaten in league play with a 41-29 win over North Union.

Fairbanks topped Triad 53-35.

West Jefferson beat Mechanicsburg 48-33.
