The Bellefontaine Chiefs came up short against the Shawnee Braves in a Central Buckeye Conference matchup on Wednesday night, falling 52-41 to close the regular season.
The loss drops Bellefontaine to 11-11 on the season.

Shawnee’s Julian Dixon led all scorers with 19 points.
In the junior varsity game, Bellefontaine came away with a 52-35 win. Sam Jenkins led the way with 12 points for the Chiefs.
Bellefontaine returns to action next Thursday, February 26, in the Sectional Tournament against the Stebbins Indians at Centerville High School. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
