Chieftain boys tennis takes down Urbana

Monday night, the Bellefontaine Boys Tennis team picked up a 4-1 win on the road against Urbana.

In singles matches, Xavier Sims came out on top in a close three-set match, winning 6-1, 3-6, (10-3). Max Fissel cruised to a 6-0, 6-0 victory, and Quinn Slagle won by forfeit.

In doubles, Urbana took the win at first doubles, with McNeely and Wilhelm defeating Bryce Harris and Elias Abrego 6-2, 6-1.

But Bellefontaine bounced back at second doubles, where Lane Howard and Jack Wilson earned a solid 6-1, 6-2 win.

In an exhibition match, Lorenz Henry also came away with a win, beating Brody Miranda 8-3.

The Chiefs are back on the court Wednesday at home against Springboro.

The match starts at 4:30 p.m.
