The Bellefontaine High School wrestling team participated in the Chieftain Duals on Saturday, finishing with a 1-3 record.

Head Coach Aaron LaBatt commented, “We started off a little rough, but we settled in and did about how we expected. Overall, we scrapped and fought. I’m looking at how we wrestle and getting mat time, not necessarily the dual score.”

Bellefontaine will next compete at the River Valley Duals on Saturday, February 8th.

The Benjamin Logan Raiders wrestling team competed in the regional round of the OHSWCA State Duals at Bishop Watterson High School.
The Raiders, seeded #5, defeated Goshen High School 51-28 and then triumphed over Franklin High School 32-28 in the Semifinals.
However, they were defeated by Bishop Watterson 52-20 in the championship.
The Raiders finished their duals season with a strong 13-1 record.

The men’s Laker wrestling team competed in the State dual Regional tournament in St. Paris Saturday and went 1-1 on the day finishing as State Regional runner-ups.
The Lakers started the day by defeating #5 seed Waynesville followed by a loss to the top-seeded Graham Falcons.
Going 2-0 on the day for the Lakers were Jordan Henderson at 120lbs, Keshawn Blackwell at 126lbs, Draden Stevenson at 138lb, and Christopher Timms at Hwt.
Lakers going 1-1 on the day were 106lb Cash Scott, 113lb Braden Riffle, 132lb Bronx Dickson, 150lb Czar Dickson, 190lb Tristan Shoffner and 215lb Owen Pummel.
The Lakers are back in action at the CBC tournament on 2/15 at Jonathan Alder.
