The Chieftain swim team participated in the Northwest Classic at Bowling Green State University on Saturday, which featured over 1,000 swimmers and a prelim/final competition format.
Elias Abrego qualified for the finals in the 50 Free, swimming a 23.66 in the prelims.
He finished 23rd overall in the finals with a time of 23.51.
Brooklyne Kuntz also qualified for finals in two events, the 100 Fly and 200 IM.
She posted times of 1:04.70 in the 100 Fly and 2:23.50 in the 200 IM during the prelims.
In the finals, Kuntz improved her times, finishing 12th in the 100 Fly with a 1:02.88 and 11th in the 200 IM with a 2:18.88.
Although her places were affected by being in the B final, her times were 8th overall in the 100 Fly and 7th overall in the 200 IM during finals.
