The Bellefontaine Chieftains hosted the Logan County Swim Meet on Tuesday night, with the girls’ team taking first place and the boys’ team finishing second.
The girls scored 109 points, securing the win over Ben Logan with 98 points and Indian Lake with 5.
The boys’ team finished with 80 points, falling short to Ben Logan, who scored 104, but easily defeating Indian Lake, who had 25 points.
Several standout performances highlighted the meet.
Senior Kate Myers won both the 200 Free and 500 Free, setting a personal record in the 200.
Brooklyne Kuntz also claimed first place in both the 100 Fly and 100 Back.
Maddie Ullom secured first in the 100 Free and third in the 100 Back, setting personal records in both events.
Other notable finishes for the girls included Emma Nieto, who placed second in both the 200 IM and 100 Free, and Kaeleigh Flora, who took second in the 100 Fly.
In the relays, the girls’ 400 Free Relay team, consisting of Elaina Ullom, Myers, Flora, and Kuntz, captured first place, while the 200 Medley and 200 Free Relay teams both finished in second place.
On the boys’ side, Elias Abrego earned first-place finishes in both the 50 Free and 100 Free, while Beckham Harman claimed first in the 100 Back.
Will Myers posted strong finishes with second-place results in both the 200 Free and 500 Free.
The team celebrated their senior swimmers, including Myers and Abrego, who both led the way with victories.
Claire McDaniel also had a standout performance, achieving a personal best in the 100 Breaststroke, and Blaine Mitchell added the 200 IM to his events list.
The Chieftains will compete next at the Southwest Ohio Classic on Saturday, January 18.

The Benjamin Logan Raider swim team was also at that meet.

- 200 Yard Freestyle: 2nd place by Annika Chappell; 3rd place by Kelley Forsythe.
- 200 Yard IM: 1st place by Fiona Sweeney.
- 50 Yard Freestyle: 1st place by Fiona Sweeney; 2nd place by Winnie Bodin.
- 100 Yard Butterfly: 3rd place by Lottie Bodin.
- 100 Yard Freestyle: 3rd place by Annika Schmidt.
- 500 Yard Freestyle: 2nd place by Kelley Forsythe; 3rd place by Montana Coleman.
