The Bellefontaine Chieftain swimmers wrapped up their final home meet of the season Tuesday night while hosting the Logan County Meet, an evening highlighted by senior recognition and strong performances across the board.
Seniors from Bellefontaine, Benjamin Logan, and Indian Lake were honored prior to the start of competition. In the pool, the Chieftains delivered a solid showing, finishing second on both the boys and girls sides while posting 11 personal records.

Several seniors led the way with standout performances.
Kaeleigh Flora captured first place in the 100 butterfly and finished second in the 50 freestyle with a personal best.
Beckham Harman won the 100 backstroke, while Maddie Ullom also took first in the 100 back.
Cody Hudson placed second in the 100 freestyle, Gillian Steele earned third in the same event with a PR, Emma Merrin finished fifth in the 200 freestyle, and Ava Kunze recorded a personal best in the 50 freestyle.
The Chieftains also saw significant time drops throughout the lineup. Andrew Myers turned in one of the biggest improvements of the night, cutting 55.92 seconds in the 500 freestyle and 11.27 seconds in the 200 freestyle. Allison Myers dropped 2.77 seconds in the 100 backstroke and 1.33 seconds in the 100 freestyle. Ella Fultz shaved 2.79 seconds off her 200 IM, Grady Feasel dropped 2.57 in the 200 IM, and Brooklyne Kuntz improved by 0.88 seconds in the 100 breaststroke.
One of the most exciting moments of the meet came in the girls 200 freestyle relay. Seniors Kaeleigh Flora, Gillian Steele, and Maddie Ullom battled closely with Benjamin Logan before sophomore Brooklyne Kuntz surged on the final leg to secure the win. The night closed with another relay victory as Oliver Grandstaff, Andrew Myers, Landon Cook, and Grady Feasel improved their time in the 400 freestyle relay while claiming first place.
With consistent time drops at every meet this season, the Chieftains continue to show steady growth as postseason approaches. The team returns to action Saturday and Sunday at the Southwest Ohio Classic, with preliminary races scheduled at DRAC.
