A former Bellefontaine basketball standout was recently honored at the collegiate level.
Jack Clement, a senior at Ohio Wesleyan, was named the North Coast Athletic Conference Player of the Year.
He dominated offensively on the court this season, leading the NCAC in points while averaging 23.7 per game in conference games.
Clement finished in the top 10 in 3-point field goals per game (2.3), 3-point shooting percentage (.316), and assists (2.7).
This season, Clement shot 44% from the field, 87% from the charity stripe, and he scored a total of 600 points.
Clement is the Battling Bishops’ 12th NCAC Player of the Year. He also earned his second-consecutive All-Conference certificate after earning first-team honors this season and last winter. Clement was the lone repeat selection to the All-NCAC first team this season.
