It’s officially happening— construction is now underway on the brand-new Tiger Strong Fieldhouse at West Liberty-Salem Schools.
The project is a collaborative effort between the West Liberty-Salem Board of Education, the West Liberty-Salem Athletic Boosters, Link Construction Group, and M&K Engineering.
Grace Link, a Registered Architect, has been an integral part of the Fieldhouse journey from the very beginning.
She began designing the facility back in 2017, and over the past eight years, has led more than 15 iterations of the concept to ensure the design would meet the long-term goals of the district.
Link now serves as the Engineer/Architect of Record on behalf of M&K Engineering.
McCall Sharp Architecture provided the official building renderings as the project’s Criteria Architect, while construction efforts are being managed by Link Construction.
Drone footage captured by Link on Wednesday shows early progress at the site, including topsoil removal and initial building pad preparation.
She plans to continue documenting the Fieldhouse’s development with aerial updates throughout the build.
The Fieldhouse marks a major step forward for West Liberty-Salem Schools, combining long-term planning with community partnership and innovative design.
