Cross Country: Indian Lake Invitational and More

The Indian Lake Invitational brought together several schools on Saturday, showcasing strong performances across both boys and girls races.

In the girls’ 5k, New Bremen took first place with 38 points, followed by Lima Shawnee with 58 points. Indian Lake finished third with 65 points, while Ben Logan secured fourth with 77 points.

Jenna Stump of Lima Shawnee won the race in a time of 20:45.

Indian Lake’s Reagan Rash earned a medal with her impressive third-place finish, clocking in at 21:13.

Other top finishers for the Lakers included Evie Wagner (8th, 23:26), Alicia Brielmaier (9th, 23:40), and Kayleigh Taylor (15th, 24:06).

In the boys’ 5k, New Bremen also emerged victorious with 34 points, followed by Ben Logan with 58 points.

The Lakers finished fifth with 113 points.

New Bremen’s Jett Jellison won the race at 17:43.

Indian Lake’s Titus Kelly earned a ribbon for his 14th-place finish (19:52), while Will Faler (21st, 20:19) and Bryan Mohler (24th, 20:31) contributed to the team’s performance.

The meet marked the last home appearance for Indian Lake seniors Caleb Altstaetter, Bryan Mohler, and Daniel Wahl.

Benjamin Logan’s boys team finished second overall, led by senior Eric Hughes, who finished second among 58 runners with a time of 18:17.

Other top performers included Landon Zehner (5th, 18:50) and Tyler Shoopman (8th, 19:00).

On the girls’ side, junior Hadley Boysel was the top finisher for the Raiders, placing 11th in a field of 51 with a time of 24:00.

Close behind were senior Nora Elliott (13th, 24:04) and Scarlett Elliott (16th, 24:21).

In West Liberty-Salem’s JV boys race at Centerville, the team finished second out of 24 teams.

Quentin Rudolph led the squad with a 6th-place finish (18:56.3), followed by Taryn Bradley (9th, 19:04.5) and Garrett Wallen (11th, 19:16.3).

Finally, the Bellefontaine High School boys cross country team competed at the Jim Murray Invitational at the Clark County Fairgrounds, finishing 6th out of 23 teams.

Hayden Maus led the team with a remarkable 4th place finish (16:11), while several runners achieved personal records despite challenging conditions.
