Fairbanks outlasts the Lake, sink the Lakers

Both teams were strong on the bump on Monday, but Fairbanks was just a little bit stronger at the plate in their 2-1 victory over Indian Lake . Tyler Tidwell started the game for Indian Lake and recorded 11 outs.

Indian Lake lost despite out-hitting Fairbanks five to three. Chance Persinger led Indian Lake with two hits.

Fairbanks got on the board in the top of the fifth inning after Wyatt Stice grounded out, and Carson Reames walked, each scoring one run.

Tyler Tidwell was on the mound for Indian Lake . The hurler gave up two hits and zero runs over three and two-thirds innings, striking out two and walking none. Carter Sites started on the mound for Fairbanks . The starter gave up four hits and no runs over four and one-third innings, striking out one and walking three.

Wyatt Beair led Indian Lake with an RBI, going 1-for-1 on the day from the plate.

Reames and Stice each drove in one run for Fairbanks . Reid Phelps went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Fairbanks in hits.

Indian Lake will travel to Benjamin Logan for their next game on Tuesday.
