Fairbanks High School swimmers Aizza Schirg and Sadie Lucas competed in the Division II Central District Sectionals last weekend.
Both swimmers qualified for districts setting personal records en route to qualification. Lucas qualified in the 100-yard freestyle and is an alternate for the 50-yard freestyle. Schirg qualified in both the 200-yard individual medley and the 100-yard breaststroke.
The district tournament is Thursday, February 16 at the Ohio State University. Swimmers from the East, Central, and Southeast districts will be competing for a chance to go to the State Tournament.
