Lakers fall to Granville 1-0 in 10 innings

It took over two hours and 28 outs before a run scored in the Regional Semifinal between Indian Lake and Granville at Wright State University.

With no outs and the bases loaded in the bottom of the 10th inning, Granville’s Ally Ernsberger grounded back to the pitcher.

Madison Brentlinger fired to home forcing the runner.

Indian Lake quickly threw to first attempting a double play, but the throw went by the first baseman and into right field allowing the runner from second to come around and end the Lakers season 1-0.

Madison Brentlinger went 9+ innings on the mound allowing eight hits while striking out five and allowing one run (unearned).

Ally Ernsberger was equally dominant for Granville.

The right-hander gave up five hits over 10 innings, striking out 15 and walking one.

Haylee Edwards set the tone at the top of the lineup, leading Indian Lake Lakers with two hits in four at-bats.

Brentlinger doubled off the top of the wall in left field and Katie Roby also doubled for the Lakers.

Ally Ernsberger and Megan Lodge each collected two hits for Granville Blue Aces.

Indian Lake finishes the season with a record of 24-3.

Granville will move on to play Kenton Ridge in the Regional Final on Friday afternoon.

Kenton Ridge beat Greenville in the other Regional Semifinal 1-0.
