High school football is heating up in mid-July as Bellefontaine’s AccuSport Stadium hosts the annual Battle at the Peak, a 7-on-7 football showcase.
The event kicks off Friday morning and features teams from Kenton, Wapakoneta, St. Francis DeSales, Ashland, and the host team, Bellefontaine.
The first games began at 11 a.m., with the final matchup scheduled to wrap up by 12:30 p.m.
- 11:00 AM- Wapakoneta vs. St. Francis DeSales
- 11:30 AM- Bellefontaine vs. Ashland
- 12:00 PM- Kenton vs. Ashland
- 12:30 PM- St. Francis DeSales vs. Bellefontaine
The Battle at the Peak gives teams a chance to sharpen their skills during the offseason and build momentum heading into camp.
The 7-on-7 format focuses on passing, timing, and defensive coverage, allowing coaches to take a look at players in game-like situations without full contact.
