Friday night the Graham boys varsity baseball won against Tecumseh High School 12- 1.

 

The Chiefs defeated Benjamin Logan 6-5 on Friday after taking the lead late in the game.

The game was tied at five in the top of the seventh when Alex Crabill scored after tagging up.

The Chiefs got on the board in the first inning after Jose Sandoval singled, scoring one run.

Chris Fogan pitched five innings in relief for Bellefontaine Chiefs.

The reliever gave up two hits and one run while, striking out seven and walking two.

Carter Caudill began the game for the Chiefs.

Sandoval went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Bellefontaine Chiefs in hits.

Bellefontaine Chiefs had a strong eye at the plate, tallying nine walks for the game.

Riley Neer and Fogan led the team with two free passes each.

Neer and Jayden Temple each stole multiple bases for the Chiefs.

The Chiefs ran wild on the base paths, accumulating eight stolen bases for the game.

The JV team also won 7-3 over Benjamin Logan.

They will be back in action Saturday hosting Triad at 12 o’clock at Blue Jacket Park.

 

Sadly, Benjamin Logan is still looking for their first win of the season after five matchups.

One positive for Benjamin Logan, at least, is that this was the most points they’ve scored all season.

Benjamin Logan saw four different players set up and record at least one hit.

One of them was Ethan Martin, who scored a run while going two for four.

Even though they lost, Benjamin. Logan didn’t let the batters stay on the plate for long and finished the game with nine strikeouts.

That’s the most strikeouts they’ve managed all season.

Benjamin Logan’s defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.

 

Riverside baseball dropped a league matchup in DeGraff 7-1 to Miami East.

Sam King took the loss for the Pirates going 6 innings walking 4 batters and giving up 4 hits while striking out 7.

Carson Smith picked up the win for the Vikings going 6 and 1/3 innings walking 1 batter and giving up 3 hits.

Gavin Orsborne led the Pirate offense going 2 for 3 at the plate.

Luke Hamaker drove in 2 runs for the Vikings.

Riverside drops to 1-1 in league play and 3-1 overall.

The Pirates travel to Waynesfield on Saturday for a non-league matchup.

 

The Indian Lake Lakers fell to London 4-0.

Camdon Tuttle took the loss for the Lakers.

The righty went four and two-thirds innings, giving up three runs on three hits, striking out four and walking two.

Burke Lillard led the Lake with one hit in two at-bats.

The Lakers welcome North Union on Saturday.
