Friday Night Softball: Chiefs Win, Raiders Fall to Kenton Ridge, Lakers Defeat Hillclimbers

The Lady Chiefs started league play with a win Friday night beating visiting Northwestern 6-1.

Averie Vigansky threw a complete game earning the win on the mound.

Offensively the Lady Chiefs were led by Kassi Prine 3-4, Airiana Young 3-3, Ellie Mitchell 2-3, Alexza Clifton a triple, and Addison Wical a double.

The Lady Chiefs play again on Saturday at Marion Harding for a doubleheader.

 

The Lady Raiders lost to Kenton Ridge 5-15 on Friday night.

Benjamin Logan was ahead through four and a half innings until the Lady Cougars scored nine runs on seven hits in the bottom of the fifth inning.

In the bottom of the sixth inning, Kenton Ridge plated three more runs to make it a ten-run differential.

Offensively, Benjamin Logan had eight hits.

Keeli Rostorfer and Bailee Stover each had two hits and an RBI, and Libby Siefring doubled and drove in two runs.

Brooks Myers, Courtney Bowers, and Skylar Miracle each added hits for the Lady Raiders.

Benjamin Logan is scheduled to host Versailles in a doubleheader Saturday.

 

Indian Lake shut out Urbana 11-0. They scored seven runs in the seventh inning alone.
