HS/MS girls and boys basketball from Saturday

Girls:

Mechanicsburg beat West Liberty-Salem 52-31.

Lilly Weaver scored 16 in a losing effort.

The ‘Burg is now (6-2) (5-1) while WL-S falls to (4-4) (3-2).

Mechanicsburg won the JV game 36-31.  Laila Butler had 9 for the Tigers.

Miami East 47 Riverside 21.

Ayva Stewart had 7 points for the Pirates.

Tecumseh routed Bellefontaine 68-48.

The Arrows improve to (5-3) (2-0) and the Chiefs fall to (5-3) (1-1).

North Union outlasted Benjamin Logan 36-27.

Mia Stahler had 16 points for the Raiders while Mya Burrey, Kara Reeves, and Georgia Bates each scored 3.

BL won the JV game 44-36.  Addison Kuhn had a game-high 12 points.  Rylan Norviel chipped in 10.

Urbana toppled Graham 56-27.  Alex Dixon had 15 points for the Hillclimbers.

Fairbanks blasted Triad 57-6.  Madi Cox had 4 points for the Cardinals.

Fairbanks won the JV game 46-11.  Hannah Russell scored 9 in a losing effort.

Boys:

Graham fell to Miami East 57-43.

Ben Sells led the Falcons with 14 points, while Bode McGuire finished with 12.

Bellefontaine lost by 1 to Northridge 48-47.

Calvary Christian rolled past East Dayton 60-31.

The Spartans were led by Wyatt Schlatter with 22 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 steals.

Patrick James had 14 points, 8 boards, 1 steal & 1 block, Ezra Davie added 13 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists, and 2 steals. Kaden Downey recorded 5 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists, and 4 steals. Ephraim Daniels, Charles Krumm, and Phillip Davie each scored 2 points with multiple rebounds. Evan Patton had 1 rebound, 1 asst, and 2 steals.

Calvary will travel to Dayton Temple Monday with tip-off slated for 7:45 p.m.

Middle School:

The Calvary Christian girls defeated East Dayton Academy 16-14.

For the Lady Spartans, Iva Wilson led with 12 points.

The Indian Lake 7th-grade girls lost to Jackson Center 32-11.

Jackson Center edged past the Lakers in the 8th-grade contest.

Courtney Altstaetter led with 12 points and Addy Roby chipped in with 8 points and 12 rebounds.
