Girls Recap: West Liberty-Salem, Mechanicsburg and Benjamin Logan Win

WL-S 43, Bellefontaine 35:

West Liberty-Salem (WL-S) defeated Bellefontaine 43-35.

WL-S was led by Addie Wallen with 18 points and Ava Astorino with 16 points.

Belle Sarver added 5 points, and Arianna Weaver contributed 4 points.

The JV game saw Bellefontaine win 24-21, with Grace Jones and Lucy Cole each scoring 6 points for WL-S.

Mechanicsburg 43, Triad 20:

Triad lost to Mechanicsburg 43-20 in a Varsity-only matchup.

Jazz Ford led Triad with 10 points and 5 rebounds, while Abbey Overfield had 6 points, 3 steals, and 7 rebounds.

Mia LeMay added 10 rebounds for Triad, who now stand at 1-2 overall and 0-1 in the OHC.

Benajamin Logan 22, Kenton 59:

The Benjamin Logan girls basketball team traveled to Kenton Monday night to take on the Wildcats.

The Varsity BL girls lost 59 to 22.

Kaylee Hays had 10 points for the Raiders and Daylin Varner chipped in 4 points.

The JV BL girls lost 53 to 45. Hailey Smith scored 26 points, Bonnie Brunson and Aubrey Harris each added 5 points, and Bryleigh Burnside and Kaylee Oglesbee pitched in 4 points each.

The BL girls are back in action on Wednesday at home as they host Tecumseh with JV starting at 6:00 pm and with the varsity following.
