Girls Middle School: Indian Lake and West Liberty-Salem Victorious

Monday the Indian Lake 8th-grade girls basketball team opened the season with a 33-31 victory over Ben Logan.
Alivia Kinney led the Lakers scoring 10 points, 6 rebounds, and 5 steals.
Madison Davis had 8 points and Rya Pequignot scored 5 points, had 4 assists, and 3 steals.
Bre Wisener had 4 points and Brylee Buyer and Chloe Borgerding scored 3 points each.

The Indian Lake 7th Grade team lost to Ben Logan 42-18.
Kyler Carruthers led the Lakers scoring 8 points, Makayle Clary scored 4 points, and Laura Metzger scored 3 points and had 11 rebounds.
Both teams will play Bellefontaine on Thursday at home with the 7th grade game starting at 5:30.
The West Liberty-Salem girls basketball team improved to 2-1 on the season Monday night.
They defeated Triad 20-10.
Leading the Tigers in scoring was Karlee Lucas netting 13 points. Ashlyn Yeater added 3 points, and both Emily King and Ella Jacobs scored 2 each.
The West Liberty-Salem 8th-grade girls also defeated Triad 59-14.
Arianna Weaver, Nevaeh Gravely, Lucy Cole, and Delaney Anane-Sefah all netted 10 points, Isla Leichty added 6 pts, Addi Wallen 5 points, Ellery Wygal 4, and Olivia McQuinn and Emma Schmelzer both scored 2 points each.
They are set to play again Thursday at Northeastern.
