Riverside Golf
Riverside’s girls golf team emerged victorious over Miami East with a score of 216-233 in their TRC match at Lakeland Golf Course. Reaghan McDaniel led the Lady Pirates as the match medalist with a 43. Other top performers included Kenna Johnson with a 52, Zoie Armbruster with a 60, and Kirstyn Carpenter with a 61. Lei Hurley and Adalynn Calaway both shot 70.
In the boys’ division, Riverside finished second in a tri-match at Cherokee Hills, where Bethel claimed first place with a score of 157, Riverside followed with 190, and Dayton Northridge trailed with 283. Jaxon Woods was co-medalist with a 38, while Hayden McCully shot a 46. Daniel Esh and Syler Clark both had their best rounds of the year, scoring 48 and 58, respectively. The boys team will compete in a TRC match at Covington tomorrow night.
Lady Lakers Golf
The Lady Lakers fell to Northwestern with a score of 183-200 in their home match. Emma Meyer and Alex Kinney led the Lakers, each shooting a 46. The team will next face North Union at 4:30 PM.
Lady Falcons Golf
At the annual Lady Falcon Invitational, the Lady Falcons finished as runners-up with a score of 385. Bishop Fenwick won the tournament with a score of 332. Zoey Merritt led the Falcons with a score of 77, finishing second in a scorecard playoff. Riley Donnelly placed 11th with a 90, Kailey Dowty finished 18th with a 99, and other notable scores included Bayla Moffitt (119), Grace Bowers (124), Kenzie Clark (117), Cadence Woods (132), and Ellayna Little (135).
WL-S Golf
The West Liberty-Salem girls’ golf team dropped to a 3-3 record with a 192-209 loss to Southeastern. Olivia Reichardt shot a season-best 45, just two strokes behind the medalist from Southeastern. Geneva Estep shot 53, Teagan Boyd 55, Kennedy Wallace 56, Bexley Wilcoxon 57, and Taylor Cook 59 rounded out the top six.
