The West Liberty-Salem girls golf team secured a close win over Northeastern on Wednesday, edging out the Jets 229 to 231 in Ohio Heritage Conference action.
With the victory, the Lady Tigers improved to 1-1 on the season.
Olivia Reichardt led the way for the Tigers with a round of 52.
Geneva East, Taylor Cook, and Grace Jones also contributed to the team score.

In boys golf, Riverside traveled to Echo Hills Golf Course to compete in the Kendig Memorial Invitational.
The Pirates posted a team score of 394.
Trout captured the invitational title with a 306, while Logan Norris of Bethel earned medalist honors with a 71.

Also on the boys side, West Liberty-Salem improved to 3-1 after a solid 173-222 win over Southeastern at Liberty Hills.
Sutton Wilcoxon led the Tigers with a 42, while Braydon Thompson and Troy Christenson each shot 43.
The team returns to action Monday at the Champaign County Open, held at Urbana Country Club.
