The Graham Lady Falcons and Riverside golf teams delivered notable performances recently, with impressive individual and team results.
Lady Falcons Lead the Way
In a standout performance, the Lady Falcons golf team posted a season-low team score of 178, securing a decisive victory over Versailles, who finished with a score of 209. Zoey Merritt led the Falcons with a remarkable 5-under-par score of 31, breaking the previous Lady Falcon 9-hole record by 2 strokes. Her exceptional play set the pace for the team, which included strong performances from her teammates. Riley Donnelly shot a 47, McKenzie Clark achieved a personal record with a 49, and Kailey Dowty contributed a 51. Grace Bowers and Bayla Moffitt both carded 59, while Cadence Woods also posted a 59, another personal best. Rounding out the team, Ellayna Little shot a 63, and Hailey Langford finished with a 66.
Riverside Lady Pirates and Boys’ Golf Teams in Action
The Riverside Lady Pirates delivered their best performance of the season on Thursday at Cherokee Hills, defeating Bethel 193-204. Reaghan McDaniel stood out as the medalist with a score of 37. Her teammates also contributed to the win, with Kenna Johnson shooting a 49, Zoie Armbruster carding a 51, and Kirstyn Carpenter adding a 56. Lei Hurley and Adalynn Calaway both shot 63.
Meanwhile, the Riverside boys’ golf team faced Milton Union at Homestead Golf Course and fell 186-192. Jaxon Woods had a notable individual performance, shooting a 38 to earn match medalist honors. His teammates included Hayden McCully with a 46, Daniel Esh with a 53, and Syler Clark with a 55.
