Hammond Signs with Tiffin University

Bellefontaine golf standout Austin Hammond recently signed his letter of intent with Division II Tiffin University.

Hammond chose Tiffin after visiting the campus.

He was impressed with the academics, facilities, and the head coach.

Hammond also considered Bluffton University.

He started playing golf between 8th and 9th grade, then quickly fell in love with the game.

Hammond’s hard work has fueled his success on the course.

As a freshman, he averaged a 55 for nine holes.

As a senior, his average was an impressive 38.

Hammond was named First Team CBC for the last two years.

He was a second-team choice as a sophomore.

He has maintained a 3.82 grade point average at BHS.

Hammond plans on studying business administration.
