Hi-Point Soccer Tournament: Calvary Green Defeats West Liberty 1

Calvary Green defeated West Liberty 1, 8-1, Saturday afternoon at McKinley Fields in the 2nd round of the Hi-Point County League Tournament.

Anderson Konz opened up the scoring with a goal at the top of the 18 box and ended up with a hat trick, scoring 3 goals.

Xavier Church scored next with a hard shot from 20 yards out and ended up with 2 goals.

Seth Palmer scored 2 goals from the left side.

Elijah Navarro scored from 40 yards out in the 2nd half.

Blythe Lowe nailed a great corner kick in the second half to assist Konz.

Kole Gantz and Lydia Davie had 1 assist each.

Aiden Keller handled duties exceptionally well at midfield while Caleb Gantz and Reagan Roell played tough in the backfield.

Brody Prall had 1 save in the win.

Seth Palmer earned the Team Toughness Award for the way he challenged every ball in his 3-yard zone.

The Spartans move on to the 3rd round.
