In Girl’s Basketball, The Benjamin Logan Lady Raiders hosted a league match-up with the North Union Wildcats on Saturday afternoon.
The Varsity Lady Raiders lost to North Union 53 to 26. Kaylee Hays had 7 points, Adilynne Gregg added 6 points, and Lahna Cook, Daylin Varner, and Kylie Harner each had 4 points.

Indian Lake varsity girls pulled away from Northwestern winning 46 to 31. Mackenzie Dixon scored 16 points, Carly Strayer scored 15 points, Courtney Altstaetter scored 8 points and grabbed 13 rebounds, and Kennedy Schwaderer added 7 points and 5 assists.

The Riverside Lady Pirates lost to Miami East 25-22 in league action.
Leading the Pirates in scoring was Avery Perk with 10 points and Kenna Johnson chipped in 4.

The Lady Chiefs of Bellefontaine took on Tecumseh at home and came away with a win. It took a big 3rd quarter, out-scoring the Arrows 20-10, to get it done. Leading the Lady Chiefs was Quinlan Zedeker with 13 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 assists. Tiffany Boop scored 12 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. Laila Butler had 10 points, and Gabbe Hoon had 8 points and ripped down 8 rebounds. Hailee Lamb chipped in 6 points.

West Liberty-Salem downed Triad, 64-24.
Addi Wallen led the way with 15 points and Arianna Weaver scored 11 for the Lady Tigers. Ava Astorino and Maddie McGill both added 10. Ava Johnson helped with 5 points while Grace Jones pitched in with 3. Lucy Cole had 4 points.
For Triad, Abbey Overfield had 13 points and 3 assists. Mia LeMay added 6 points and 6 rebounds. Bre Parsons had 6 rebounds.

In Boys Basketball, Indian Lake beat Ottawa-Glandorf, 62-51
Avery Pequignot topped out with 20 points while Brodey Reisinger added 19.

The Calvary Spartans fell to the Miami Valley Rams Saturday night, 53-49. Philip Davie led the team with his season-high of 27 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 steals. Christian Rogan and Daniel Young both scored 6 points apiece. Zeeke Wylie and Evan Schmidt scored 4 points each. Braylon Dunson chipped in 2 points.

In Middle School action, Indian Lake 7th grade girls beat Jackson Center, 21-8. Addison Headings scored 14 points, Samantha Altstaetter, Bri Hardesty and Abby Arnett scored 2 points each, and Caroline Jones scored 1 point.

Indian Lake 8th grade girls lost to Jackson Center 31-21. Kyler Carruthers scored 6 points and had 3 steals, Makayle Clary scored 6 points, Claire Tidwell scored 4 points and grabbed 6 rebounds, Karlee Taylor scored 3 points and Laura Metzger scored 2 points and had 3 steals.

On Saturday, 12/14, the CCS Spartans Jr. High girls’ basketball team defeated Miami Valley 21-7. Leading the Spartans in scoring was Madelyn Carter with 8 points, Avery Rogers had 4, Mazie Worley, Kariss Willets, Destiney Mathys, and Jocelyn Wiley all added 2 each. Caroline Moore added 1. Eden Lecrone had 7 steals for the Spartans.

The 7th grade IL Boys Basketball team defeated the Jackson Center Tigers on the road Saturday by a final score of 31 – 22. The Lake took control early and never looked back as they improved their record to 4-1 on the season. It was a team effort defensively, with Callen McClelland, Kendrick Harris, Fletcher Brown, and Issac Roberts all playing strong. Broxtyn Emrick and Kaiden Lacher pulled in big rebounds down the stretch as well. Offensively, Miller Hall led the way with 15 points, followed by Mason Berg with 9 and Colt Volbrecht adding in 7. The boys will play host to Ben Logan on Monday with the 7th grade starting at 5:30.

The 7th grade Benjamin Logan Boys Basketball team fell to Urbana 49-18. Leading the Raiders in scoring was Preston Mikes with 4 points. Anson Nicols and Luke Long chipped in with 3 points each.

The 8th-grade Raiders team lost 54-36. The Raiders got behind early but made a valiant effort to come back. Leading the Raiders was Micah Gregg with 15 points and 6 rebounds. Carrick Spriggs had 8 points and 7 rebounds. Karson McCoy had 6 points and 4 steals. Ashe Moorehouse scored 4 points. The Raiders are back in action tonight at Indian Lake. The games start at 5:30.

The Indian Lake 8th grade boys basketball team extended their record to 5-0 on the season by defeating Jackson Center Saturday by the final score of 43-31. The team jumped out to a 15-9 lead after the 1st quarter and continued to maintain their lead throughout the game. Nixon Lillard led all scorers in the game with 17 points, which included four 3-pointers. Rush Hurley added to the scoring with 13 points. Alex Tussing contributed scoring 7 points. Cohen Brown had 4 points, and Kirk Beres completed the scoring with 2 points. Cole McClelland and Reid Roberts were key contributors throughout the game to help secure the win. They next play tonight at home against Ben Logan at 5:30.
