High School Hoops: Raiders and Chieftains Fall. Lakers, Pirates, and Tigers Prevail

It was an exciting Friday Night in High School Boys Basketball.

The Raiders played North Union Friday night and lost 31-66.

The team was led by Cayden Brown with 11 points.

Collin Powell and Camden Spriggs each added 6 points.

The JV Raiders lost 19-45.

Peyton Vermillion scored 6 points and Davin Meyers added 5 points.


The West Liberty-Salem varsity team defeated Mechanicsburg 62-37.

Leading the Tigers was Taran Logwood netting 20 points, Miles Hostetler added 16 points, Brevin Louden 14, Isaiah Reames  6, JJ Johnson 3, Hunter Knotts 2, and Caleb Hershberger added 1 point.

West Liberty-Salem’s JV team defeated Mechanicsburg 41-4.

For the Tigers Garrett Wallen scored 12 points, Troy Christison had 9, and Elijah Christison netted 8 points.

The West Liberty-Salem Freshmen defeated Mechanicsburg 38-13.

Leading the team was Connor Leichty scoring 11 points and Braden Hershberger 8.

The Tigers will next play on Tuesday, December 12th at Triad.

The Riverside Boys varsity basketball team won at home 53-51 against Bethel Friday night.

For the Pirates: Ayden Clary had 12 points and 10 rebounds, Dominik Stotler had 10 points and 4 steals, Jaxon Woods had 10 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 blocks, and Gavin Orsborne had 9 points and 2 assists.

The JV Pirates won 52-48.

Damien Smith has 20 points 5 rebounds 6 steals 3 assists, Houston Anderson netted 14 points and 2 assists, Hayden Sanford added 6 points, 5 assists, and 2 steals, and Carter Kreglow had 4 points and 9 rebounds.


The Bellefontaine boys varsity basketball team fell to Urbana 62-37.
