High School Volleyball: Indian Lake Wins, Riverside Falls

In a thrilling match on Tuesday, the Indian Lake Lakers emerged victorious against Botkins with scores of 25-22, 25-18, and 28-26. Kenzie Dixon led the Lakers with 12 kills and 13 digs, while Halle Roby contributed 6 kills, 10 digs, and 25 assists. Courtney Altstaetter added 8 kills along with a solo block and block assist. Annie Rapp also had 6 kills and a block assist. Riley Ross and Addison Beck recorded 17 and 16 digs, respectively. With this win, Indian Lake improves to 8-1 overall and 2-0 in the CBC. They will host Ben Logan in their next match.

In the JV match, Indian Lake defeated Botkins 25-17, 25-22. Ady Oldiges was pivotal with 10 assists, and Brynna Avila contributed with 1 ace and 10 digs. Kit Miller had 7 kills, and Kenzley Pertuset added 4 kills and a block. The JV team now stands at 7-2.

Riverside’s volleyball team faced a tough challenge against Covington but was defeated in three sets, 25-19, 15-25, and 13-25. Bella Robinson led Riverside with 8 points, including 4 aces, and 1 kill. Gracie Rench and Izzy Hudson each added 5 points with 1 ace apiece. Lillian Jackson and Shailyn Giles each contributed with a point and an ace. Riverside will travel to Milton Union for a conference matchup on Thursday at 5:30 p.m.
