High School Volleyball Roundup: Key Matches and Standout Performances

Bellefontaine — The Bellefontaine Chiefs varsity volleyball team fell to Kenton Ridge in a hard-fought match with scores of 12-25, 15-25, 25-23, and 25-27. Reagan Standley led the Chiefs with an impressive 16/16 serving performance, including an ace and 6 digs. Ava Reeves added 23 digs, while Kelsie Snapp contributed 18 kills and 24 digs. The Chiefs, now 8-2 overall and 3-1 in the CBC, will face Triad on Saturday with JV Black starting at 9 AM.

Indian Lake — Indian Lake’s varsity team edged out Northwestern in a close contest, winning 25-21, 24-26, 25-21, and 25-23. Riley Ross was perfect in serving (14/14) and tallied 21 digs, while Kenzie Dixon led with 13 kills. The Lakers, now 9-2 overall and 2-1 in the CBC, will play at Waynesfield-Goshen on Monday. The JV Lakers also secured a win, defeating their opponents 25-14, 25-21, with standout performances from Ady Oldiges and Brynna Avila.

Benjamin Logan — The North Union volleyball team won against Benjamin Logan with scores of 25-16, 11-25, 25-11, and 25-17. Kayla Williamson led with 10 kills, supported by 9 kills from Skylar Miracle and 8 from Georgia Daniels. Autumn Cline added 30 assists, and Mia Stahler contributed 19 digs.

West Liberty-Salem — The Tigers’ varsity team defeated Greenon with scores of 24-26, 25-22, 25-19, and 25-22. Naomi Cole had a standout performance with 16 kills and 2 aces. The Tigers improve to 6-3. In JVA action, West Liberty-Salem secured a win over Greenon with strong performances from Belle Sarver and Emma Liggett.

Riverside — The Riverside Lady Pirates were defeated by Covington with scores of 18-25, 14-25, and 14-25. Brook Hunkler and Jayden Hoffer each had 4 kills, while Aubree Huston contributed 16 digs. Riverside JV also fell in a close match, 26-24, 24-26, and 12-25, with Chloe Purtee leading in digs.
