The Urbana Hillclimbers saw their postseason run come to an end Saturday as the Wyoming Cowboys pulled away for a 59–31 victory in the Division IV District Final.
Wyoming set the tone early, jumping out to an 8–5 lead before extending the advantage to 12–7 at the end of the first quarter.
Urbana stayed within striking distance through much of the second quarter, but the Cowboys gradually created separation, building an 18–13 lead before closing the half on a strong stretch to take a 29–15 advantage into the locker room.
The second half belonged to Wyoming. The Cowboys continued to control the pace, stretching the margin to 40–25 midway through the third quarter.
By the end of the period, Wyoming had pushed the lead to 45–29, putting the game firmly in their control heading into the final eight minutes.
In the fourth quarter, Wyoming’s defense clamped down while the offense continued to produce, closing the game on a 14–2 run to secure the 59–31 win.
Urbana’s Drew Dixon led the Hillclimbers with 14 points, going 5-for-13 from the field, including 4-of-11 from three-point range.
Kaden Underwood added 9 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 assists, while Grady Lantz contributed 4 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 assists. Damion Moss chipped in 4 points and 3 rebounds, and Brody Donahoe led the team with 3 assists.
As a team, Urbana shot 13-of-34 from the field, including 4-of-19 from three-point range, and made 1-of-5 free throws. The Hillclimbers committed 16 turnovers, while Wyoming had just 8.

With the victory, Wyoming advances to the regional round, while Urbana concludes its season in the District Final after a strong postseason run. Despite the loss, the Hillclimbers finished the season with pride, building on the foundation of a hardworking team and highlighting key contributions from several underclassmen poised to lead in the future.
