Hillclimbers upset Indian Lake to advance in tournament play

The Urbana Hillclimbers climbed past the Lakers of Indian Lake, 8-2, in the second round of sectional playoffs Thursday.

Case Tepee led the Hillclimbers, going 3-for-4 and an RBI from the plate.

Grady Lantz gets the win for Urbana, going 5 and 1/3 innings, giving up 5 hits and 2 runs with 13 strikeouts and 2 walks.

Madden Lillard takes the loss for the Lakers, allowing 7 runs on 5 hits in 3 and 2/3 innings.

Tyler Tidwell went 2-for-3 with the stick for Indian Lake.

The Lakers end their season with an 11-11 overall record.

Urbana improves to 13-11 and advances to the District semi-finals against Shawnee on Wednesday.
