Hood Takes 1st Place on All-Tournament Bowling Team


The Bellefontaine girls’ bowling team finished 4th out of 19 teams bowling on the Sectional and District Oil Pattern at Poelking South.

The format for the tournament was 3 regular games followed by 6 baker games and total pins determined the winners.

Coming in 1st place was Kettering Fairmont with 3414, 2nd place Graham with 3400, 3rd place Butler with 3324, and Bellefontaine 4th place with 3299.

It was a tough oil pattern and we just got lost in the baker as a team.

The highlight of the day was Gracie Hood was 1st on the All-Tournament team with a 588, she shot 201, 205, and 182.

Chloe Heminger had a 167 game high for a 486 series and ended up in 9th place.

Haylee Yelton had a high game of 167 for a 471 series, finishing in 13th place.

Avery Mullins added a 176 game.
