Indian Lake’s cross country teams traveled to Seneca East Cross Country on Saturday night.
The meet is a great atmosphere for cross country and an opportunity to salute our American heroes and remember the terrorist attack against our country on September 11.
There was a 9-11 memorial set up in their gym, they had skydivers present the flag during the national anthem, and there were fireworks to start the races.
The girls team won the 17-team meet with 113 points. Utica was 2nd with 145 and Bloom-Carrol was 3rd with 157.
Indian Lake was led by Reagan Rash who finished 2nd overall in 19:54.
KaiLea Miller was 20th (21:29), Evie Wagner was 21st (21:30), Hannah Metzger was 24th (21:34), Haley Metzger was 71st (24:19), Kayleigh Taylor was 79th (24:37), Makayla Motter was 92nd (25:52), and Maggie Reese was 93rd (26:04).
The boys team finished 14th of 23 teams. Utica won with 101 points.
Grant McPherson led the Lakers with a 52nd-place finish (18:41).
Titus Kelly was 64th (18:59), Vince was 86th (19:30), Tony Cummins was 90th (19:35), Cason Lacher was 112th (20:20), Caleb Altstaetter was 149th (21:30), Owen Pummel was 224th (26:15), and Hayden Hoffman was 229th (28:54).
The Lakers race next Saturday at Cedarville.
