The Indian Lake Middle School cross-country teams delivered impressive performances at the FARMBanks Invitational held at Fairbanks on Tuesday evening.
Girls’ Team Performance:
The girls’ team secured a strong second-place finish, earning the runner-up trophy. Abby Bihn led the team with a notable 4th place finish, clocking in at 14:10. Laura Metzger followed closely in 8th place with a time of 15:27, both securing top-10 ribbons. The top seven finishers for the girls included Allison Overmyer in 12th place with a time of 15:53, Caroline Jones in 14th place with a personal record of 16:00, Lilly Hutslar-Beck in 32nd place with a time of 19:32, Karlee Taylor in 35th place at 20:10, and Jessica Phillips in 40th place with a time of 23:41. Additional finishers were Lara Hagedorn (41st, 23:41), Olivia Albert (42nd, 24:19), and Abby Arnett (43rd, 24:43).
Boys’ Team Performance:
The boys’ team also demonstrated strong performances. Hayden Kuhlke led with a 9th place finish and a time of 14:37, while Nathan White finished 10th with a time of 14:38, both earning top-10 ribbons. Dalton Young finished in 18th place with a time of 16:10. Oliver Wilson made his debut race with a time of 7:55 for a quarter-mile.
The ILMS cross-country teams will be back in action next Tuesday at Ft. Loramie, looking to build on their recent successes.
