The Indian Lake Middle School track and field team turned in a strong performance at their recent meet in Piqua, with several athletes earning top-five finishes in their events.
Leading the way with first-place finishes:
- Mary Archer claimed the 400-meter dash title with a time of 1:09.
- Abby Bihn won the 800-meter run in 2:42.
- The girls’ 4×800 relay team of Bihn, Laura Metzger, Allison Overmyer, and Caroline Jones took first with a time of 11:48.
- Oliver Wilson earned first place in both the seated 100-meter dash and the seated shot put.
Second-place finishes included:
- Samantha Altstaetter in the shot put (26-6).
- The 4×400 relay team of Bihn, Audra Harford, Overmyer, and Archer (5:08).
Third place:
- Claire Tidwell in the shot put (25-5).
Fourth place:
- Audree Titus in the shot put (24-11).
- Dalton Ferrell in the shot put (36-0.5).
- Broxton Emrick in the high jump (4-6).
Fifth place:
- Laura Metzger in the high jump (3-10) and 1600-meter run (6:30).
- Allison Overmyer in the high jump (3-10).
- Claire Tidwell in the discus (64-5).
- Mary Archer in the 200-meter dash (31.1).
- Nathan White in the pole vault (6-0).
