ILMS track teams race to success

The Indian Lake Middle School (ILMS) Track and Field teams finished 4th at the Tecumseh Invitational on Monday.

The girls’ team scored 113 points, while the boys earned 49 points in a competitive field.

Winning Events:

  • The girls’ 4x800m relay team, consisting of Laura Metzger, Abby Bihn, Allison Overmyer, and Caroline Overmyer, claimed first place with a time of 11:57.
  • Abby Bihn dominated the 800m run, crossing the finish line in 2:43 to claim victory.
  • Laura Metzger continued her success with a win in the 1600m run, clocking a time of 6:39.
  • In the seated events, Oliver Wilson took top honors, winning both the 100m dash with a time of 31.91 seconds and the seated shot put with a throw of 14-11.

Second Place Finishes:

  • Mary Archer took second in the 400m run with a time of 1:15.
  • Lara Hagedorn earned second place in the 200m hurdles, finishing in 45.21 seconds.

Third Place Performances:

  • Laura Metzger placed third in the high jump, clearing 4-2.
  • Lara Hagedorn also earned third in the 100m hurdles with a time of 24.58 seconds.
  • Bentley Grube finished third in the 100m dash, clocking in at 13.25 seconds.
  • Allison Overmyer earned third in the 400m run, crossing the line in 1:17.
  • Claire Tidwell placed third in the discus with a throw of 55-7.
  • Samantha Altstaetter earned third in the shot put, with a throw of 25-11.75.

Fourth Place Finishes:

  • Caroline Jones took fourth in the 1600m run with a time of 7:23.
  • Hayden Kuhlke finished fourth in the 400m run, completing the race in 1:10.
  • Dalton Ferrell placed fourth in the shot put with a throw of 33-7.
