Ohio Caverns sponsored the inaugural Eric D. Evans Memorial Scholarship golf scramble Saturday at the Woodland Golf Club in Cable.
Eric Evans was the owner-operator of Ohio Caverns in West Liberty for 23 years before passing away last year. During his tenure, Evans oversaw the growth and improvement of the Ohio Caverns to continue its legacy as a premier tourist attraction in our region.
More than 60 friends and family gathered for a picnic, golf scramble, and a putting challenge to raise funds for a scholarship in Eric’s name.
The hope is for the scholarship to be awarded annually to a graduating senior of Urbana High School.
Team Rader was victorious in the scramble.
