Indian Lake basketball teams split with Celina

Indian Lake’s basketball teams were in action Saturday against Celina, with the boys earning a road win while the girls dropped a non-conference matchup.

Indian Lake Girls Basketball

The Lady Lakers traveled to Celina for a non-conference contest Saturday but came up short, falling to the Bulldogs 41–19.

Celina jumped out to an early first-quarter lead and maintained control throughout the game. Carly Strayer led Indian Lake with 7 points, while Courtney Altstaetter added 4. Kennedy Schwaderer, Brylee Buyer, and Hailey Smith also contributed to the scoring.

The Lady Lakers will return home on Saturday to host New Knoxville.

Indian Lake Boys Basketball

The Indian Lake boys picked up a solid road victory, defeating Celina 62–53.

Brodey Reisinger led the Lakers with a game-high 23 points, while Tyler Tidwell and Avery Pequignot each added 9 points in the win.

In junior varsity action, Indian Lake fell to Celina 35–33, with Nixon Lillard leading the Lakers with 13 points.

The Lakers are back in action Tuesday against Bellefontaine.
