Saturday, Benjamin Logan Wrestling had a successful day at the Valley View High School tournament, finishing 3rd out of 18 teams. A special highlight was Kendall Plikerd earning his 100th career victory with a tech fall. Other top finishers included Hayden Hites, Ethan Carpenter, and Owen Jordan, who all won their weight classes. Several other wrestlers also placed in the top 6, including Cooper Buck, Carter Buck, Kyle Kibler, Owen Weaks, and Kendall Plikerd.

The Indian Lake Girls Wrestling Team took part in the Marysville Duals, finishing 4th out of 10 teams. They began with a win over Lakota East (41-30) and then beat Marion Harding (45-21). Unfortunately, they lost to Harrison (58-18) and Taylor County, Kentucky (32-30), but they still made it to the 3rd place match. In the final, they narrowly lost to Lebanon (42-36). Maddie Miller had an impressive 5-0 record, and several other wrestlers finished with great records, including Riley Shaner, Izzi Mackesy, and Augusta Biederman, all with 4-1 records.

The Indian Lake Men’s Wrestling Team was at the Spartan Wrestling Invitational and won the team title out of 18 teams. They had four individual champions: Jordan Henderson (113 lbs), Czar Dickson (165 lbs), Aaron Rapp (215 lbs), and Christopher Timms (285 lbs). Other top finishers included JJ Shirk, Bronx Dickson, and Gavin Henry, who all earned second place in their weight classes. Several other wrestlers placed in the top 6, including Cash Scott, Brayden Riffle, Zaiden Bates, Taylor Clem, Tristan Shoffner, and Zander Davis. The Varsity team will have a break until January 15, when they host Bellefontaine. The JV team will compete in upcoming events on January 8 and 11.
