Indian Lake, Benjamin Logan earn thrilling wins to advance in OHSAA playoffs; more volleyball scores

Several local volleyball programs were in postseason action over the weekend, with strong performances across the board as teams battled for sectional and district advancement.

The Indian Lake Lakers opened their tournament run with an impressive comeback win over Archbishop Alter at Xenia High School.

After dropping the first set 24–26, the Lakers rallied to take the next three 25–23, 25–17, 25–12. The replay is available to watch on Peak of Ohio TV HERE.

Junior setter Addyson Roby reached a major milestone, recording her 1,000th career assist while tallying 46 assists, 12 digs, 3 kills, and a block in the win.

Cami Bailey led the attack with 19 kills and 9 digs, while Mackenzie Miller added 13 kills, 3 blocks, and 12 digs. Courtney Altstaetter and Annie Rapp chipped in with 9 kills apiece, and Rapp was a perfect 16-for-16 from the service line.

Oakwood topped Urbana 3–1 (22–25, 25–11, 25–18, 25–14) in the next contest. The replay is available to watch HERE.

In the second half of the quadruple header, the Bethel Bees defeated Waynesville 3–1 (27–25, 25–18, 17–25, 25–19), using strong, scrappy defensive play to outlast the Spartans. The full game is available to watch HERE.

The finale in Xenia was teh best game of the day, as Benjamin Logan outlasted Eaton in a thrilling five-set battle to claim a Sectional Championship. The Lady Raiders won by scores of 25–22, 15–25, 25–21, 21–25, 15–11. The replay is available HERE.

Summer Cline powered the offense with 19 kills, followed by Georgia Daniels with 16 and Abby Vance with 10. Kylie Harner distributed 47 assists, while Annika Chappell anchored the net with 6 blocks.

Peak of Ohio TV will have District Seminfinal coverage back at Xenia on Tuesday where Indian Lake will face Oakwood and Benjamin Logan will look to avenge their 5-set loss earlier in the year against Bethel. Both games will be avaible to watch live for free HERE.

Elsewhere around the region,  Carlisle edged Graham 3–2 (25–17, 25–16, 14–25, 25–27, 15–12), and West Jefferson beat Mechanicsburg 3–1 (25–17, 25–19, 16–25, 25–23).
